Anxiety Free Child Review
Is your child struggling with anxiety?
Are they spending a lot of time worrying about things? Do they seem more anxious than most kids?
Of course it’s normal for anyone, especially a young child, to feel a little bit anxious in new or uncertain situations. Unfortunately though, many kids develop an actual anxiety disorder. If this isn’t recognized and addressed, it can have lifelong consequences. This Anxiety Free Child Review looks at a program that promises to help parents help their kids overcome anxiety and have a happy childhood. Does the program live up to the promises?
What Is the Anxiety Free Child Program?
The anxiety free child program is a multimedia package that educates parents about the nature of anxiety disorders and the best way to help their child overcome them.
The foundation of the program is the manual. This is an in-depth guide that explains exactly what your child is experiencing it, what might have caused it, and, most importantly, how to conquer. The manual is written in clear, easy-to-understand language. The layout is exceptionally clean, attractive and easy to read.
There is also a complete audio version of the manual so you can listen to the program in your car, on your MP3 player or where ever it’s most convenient for you. Since I like books on tape and spending time in my car listening to educational material, I greatly appreciated these recordings
Though much of the program is designed to coach parents on how to help their children, some of it is specifically for the children to use themselves. These recordings are called the Child Anxiety Relaxation and Imagery System (CARIS). This exclusive audio series help your child practice and develop the skills they learn as they go through the anxiety free child program.
Although I haven’t used these recordings with a child as yet, they struck me as very supportive and relaxing. My expectation is that they would significantly increase the speed at which a child becomes skillful at quieting their anxious and worried mind.
Rounding out the core of the program are recordings of a remarkable series of interviews with 8 of the most recognized and respected experts currently working in the field of psychology. These fascinating interviews are loaded with nuggets of information from internationally recognized practicing psychologist, physicians and researchers. I’ve followed Dr. Daniel Amen’s writings (“Change Your Brain, Change Your Life” and others), so it was a real treat to hear the interview with him.
One of the things that I liked most about the Anxiety Free Child Program is what’s not there. Specifically, this program does not recommend medications as the mainstay of treatment for anxiety in children. This is not to say that medications can’t be helpful in some situations. They can be. But it’s my opinion that people turn to medications too easily and too frequently.
The Anxiety Free Child approach depends on giving children a mindset and teaching them skills that will help them deal effectively with anxiety throughout their life.
Another thing that I really appreciate about this program is that something the parent does with their child. Not only will it be very gratifying for the parent to help their child lead a happier life, the parent’s involvement gives the child a very powerful message about how much they are loved and cared. That is a wonderful thing to do for child in and of itself.
Anxiety Free Child Review Conclusions
The Anxiety Free Child Program is a multimedia instructional program designed specifically to help parents help their children overcome severe anxiety and even panic attacks. It is based on sound premises, is well-organized, and is easy-to-follow. I believe it is an excellent resource. Any parent concerned about an anxious child owes it to their child to consider this program further.
